OLED Steam Deck: Remove the Motherboard Cover, Battery, and Standard SSD

Note the ribbon running along the bottom.

Find the white tab.

Flip it up.

Carefully remove the ribbon.

Remove the two screws to loosen the motherboard cover. Don't remove it; you'll damage that ribbon cable.

Unplug the battery.

Voila.

Gently pry up the motherboard cover to get at the SSD slot.

Remove the screw that holds the SSD in place.

The SSD will pop up for easy removal.
