Your Kindle doesn't have to be just a plain e-reader. The right Kindle accessories can transform the simple device into something that showcases your personality, makes it easier to read, or all of the above. Personally, I'm always looking for a way to hold up one less device in front of my face; I'm holding my phone enough already, thank you very much.
If you're shopping around for new Kindle accessories, I've got you covered as a fellow reader and owner of every single current Kindle model. I've tried everything from clear cases you can fill with stickers to ones with built-in straps, and have tested straps you can add to your e-reader without needing a case. Stickers? Charms? Got ’em. Hate holding your Kindle up to read? The Kindle holders and page-turning remotes are for you. This guide will give you ideas on how to improve your own reading time or gift your favorite reader.
As new Kindle models are rolling out that aren't the same size as the old, it's important to double-check what size and generation Kindle accessory you're getting. Most accessories in this guide were tested on the 2024 generation, unless otherwise noted.
Updated October 2026: I've added notes on the new Kindle Page Turn Case and Kindle Click, plus cases and grips from Bondi.
My Favorite Kindle Accessories
Kindle Cases and Covers
An easy must-have for any Kindle reader is a case or cover to protect your e-reader. Here are some of my favorites that I've tried on my various Kindles.
All of these were tested on 2024 models of the Kindle, usually the 7-inch Paperwhite or Colorsoft. The new 2026 generation has some slight size differences, so if you're shopping for accessories for a newer Kindle, double-check if there's a version for the model you have.
Kindle Straps and Grips
Looking for an easier way to hold your Kindle? Add these straps and grips right onto the Kindle or the case.
Kindle Holders
Hate holding up your Kindle? Or struggle with chronic pain that makes holding it feel terrible? These holders will literally take the weight out of your hands.
A Page Turner Made for Kindle
Page turners have been the latest item to have as an e-reader user, but while Kobo launched a remote last year, Kindle had yet to have one—until now.
Kindle announced the release of the Kindle Click, its first Bluetooth page-turning remote, in early October, and it's finally available to buy. It's a huge improvement over third-party devices that required you to have one part of the device on your Kindle so it could tap and turn the page for you, and a remote in your hand. The worst part was not just that it blocked some of the screen, but that you had to track the battery life of two separate pieces.
The Kindle Click solves these complaints, and while it launched on the same date as the new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft, it's backward compatible with Kindle models from 2024. It's easy to set up: Just go into your device settings, click on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and then Bluetooth devices to sync your Kindle Click. I tried it with both a 2024 Kindle and a 2026 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, and both devices were able to find the Click almost instantly and start working.
The Click has two buttons on the main body that move forward and backward and will move around a page you're on, too (but won't select a book for you; it'll just move through your library or homepage). There are also two buttons on the right side that let you adjust screen brightness, which is a fantastic convenience. There's also an included lanyard to attach it to your wrist. It's great to pair with a Kindle stand of any kind so you can prop up your Kindle and turn the page without lifting a finger.
Some Charger Options
If you're getting a new Kindle, you might not be thrilled to discover you need to provide your own charging block to charge it. And if you haven't already switched over your home's collection of wall chargers to USB-C, you'll be especially frustrated when you open the box and find only a USB-C cord. If you're in the market for a new wall charger to pair with your Kindle, these are a couple of our favorites.
Looking to charge on the go? You shouldn't need to with a Kindle's long battery life. But in case you're a serial battery drainer, you can try these portable power banks we love. If neither of these suit you, check out our complete guide to the Best Power Banks.
Kindle Adornments
While everything else in this guide serves a protective or convenience purpose, this section features items with a singular purpose: fun. Here are a few I've liked adding to my Kindle.
Kindle Bags and Sleeves
Looking for a bag to tote your Kindle around? These carriers have you covered with a specific size and special pockets designed to safely store your device. Sure, you could throw your Kindle in any old bag, but these will keep it secure and prevent scratches from your keys. If you'd rather use the bag you have but want a separate sleeve to keep it safe, we've got ideas for that too.
Still Need a Kindle?
If you're reading this guide and actually are still in need of a Kindle, we've got an entire guide to the best Kindles to buy and why. The newest models are (for the most part) the smartest buy, unless the older 2024 models are on sale.
FAQs
Can These Accessories Work With Other E-Readers, Like Kobo?
Some of them can! You'll have to check descriptions for certain items (like cases or things that have to perfectly fit the device) since other devices like Kobo and Nook don't have the same dimensions as a Kindle, but flexible straps, generic tablet holders, and decorative items like charms and stickers would easily work with any other e-reader you own.
