The third day of Amazon Prime Day is for the real heads, and so is our live blog. We'll bring you deals, trends, and commentary until Amazon's annual summer sale finally hangs up its cleats.
Yes, it is still Prime Day. Believe it or not, Amazon's annual summer sale, which began on Tuesday morning, is not even close to over. Tomorrow, the final day, will see a flurry of interest, as people make FOMO purchases or empty their cart after getting a Friday paycheck. Today is for the real heads.
Day three of Amazon Prime Day is a day for people who love ball too much to step away from the game until they can't continue. This is the day Julio Franco or Tom Brady would shop for a discounted air fryer if they were shopping for discounted air fryers. It's for them that we live blog the day. I just got AirTags for the first time for an upcoming buying guide, and they're so easy to use. They can add anything to the Apple “Find My” app, whether it's your suitcase or your keys. It even has a speaker built in, and if you ever lose your item, you can share its location securely with your contacts or different airlines to try and track it down. The replaceable battery lasts for about a year. They don't usually sell for less than they are right now.

I Want to Buy the AirPods Max 2
I upgraded to the AirPods Pro 3 this year and I'm not a fan. They constantly fall out of my tiny, diminutive, waifish, skinny, feminine ears every time I smile or talk or breathe incorrectly. I've had to remove them mid-gym session due to their inability to stay put while I sweat. I've even tried third-party eartips—it all comes down to a design flaw. The noise cancellation and seamless pairing are nice, but even still, I wish I had different headphones every time I use them.
What I really wish for are the AirPods Max 2, which have an undeniably cool design, feel much louder, and as an added bonus they won't fail to do the very thing they were designed to do. The price tag is still a bit outlandish, but this sale brings them to a historic low more in line with their competitors. They have gesture controls and Adaptive Audio, but no power button or adjustable EQ. Maybe I actually want Beats? Much to think about. And research. You and I both can find more headphone deals here.

Welcome to day 3! As much as I love to talk about caffeine on this live blog, often first thing in the morning, it feels irresponsible of me to not mention that most of us are also usually chugging water. OK, I can't technically verify that the Barista Express is the world's most popular espresso machine. What I do know is that it's often cited as such, and that it's been Amazon's bestselling device of its kind since before I can remember. Why so popuplar? Because it sorta meets at the intersection of affordability, ease, and reliably consistent espresso.
When it's on sale at a good deal like this $500 Prime Day deal, you cannot find a grinder-included semi-automatic espresso machine as convenient and reliable as the Barista Express, with temperature and pressure this well-regulated and durability this assured. The cherry-red Barista Express in this picture has been on WIRED senior Gear editor Julian Chokkattu's counter for seven years, and is still pulling great shots, and foaming a nice latte.
The included grinder is not as good as my top-pick coffee grinders you can buy separately. But for this, you get to have only one device on your shelf, and it will grind right into your portafilter. Anyway, this is the best price I've seen on the Barista Express in a half-decade or so.
This Ninja Soft Serve Machine Is Pure Magic at 80 Percent the Price

I have never seen a grown person more excited than last year when my former WIRED colleague Adrienne So got her hands on the Ninja Creami Scoop and Swirl soft-serve ice cream maker—which at the time was known by the perplexing name of “Swirl by Creami” (9/10, WIRED Recommends). “Magic!” she wrote. “Almost as good as having your own personal frozen yogurt shop.”
While you do have to freeze your ingredients in advance, your imagination is pretty much your only limitation with this thing—whether fruity soft serve, Dole Whip, sorbet, or some crazy mochi-flecked tart frozen yogurt thing that So once sourced at a Pinkberry. She both lamented and celebrated becoming the most popular mom on the block.

This Car Vacuum Can Clean all the Little Crevices
Usually if a vacuum costs less than $100, WIRED vacuum critic Nena Farrell will tell you to keep walking. Just like anybody you meet after 1 a.m. is probably not the person you want to meet, vacuums under $100 kinda just suck. Except this Black+Decker, which is only this cheap because it's on a great sale.
This Dustbuster Plus is a favorite for vacuuming cars, largely because of the flexibility offered by its long hose and handle. Cars are full of weird little corners. This can find its way into them, and make them clean. The charging stand is also nice, and will also hold the vacuum's various attachments. But like a lot of low-cost vacuums, this one only holds about 15 minutes of charge. Fine for a car, terrible for a school bus.

Brands keep rolling out new deals throughout the endless 4-day Prime Day event. This Galaxy S26 phone deal just dropped today. It's a pretty wild discount from regular price, dropping down to $670 on the basic S26.
What I've got to say is: Finally! When the S26 came out, WIRED senior gear editor Julian Chokkattu noted that it was a solid phone with excellent performance, a bright and colorful screen, a reliable three-camera system, and good battery life. But Samsung had just jacked up the price too high. Now they jacked it back down for Prime Day. Huzzah! It's still the best Samsung phone there is, at a price that's much nicer.

This KitchenAid is the stand mixer I picture when I picture a stand mixer, an American design classic that has withstood generations—and which famously lasts long enough to be passed down for generations.
