We're Tracking Prime Day Live
Prime Day is still rolling, and so is our live blog. We'll bring you deals, trends, and commentary during the second day of Amazon's annual summer sale.
Like the doo-dah man, Prime Day keeps on trucking. Amazon's annual summer sale turns the entire internet into arrows of neon and flashing marquees. Publishers from Chicago, New York, and Detroit all travel the same streets, bringing you Prime Day sales on power banks, Yeti coolers, and Oura rings.
As for the WIRED Reviews team, we will play our hand before the cards ain't worth a damn. Here on the liveblog, we will spend the day livin' on reds, vitamin C, and whatever else we can scrape up to help us go a little deeper on products we love, spot some trends, point out some flash sales, dissect some odd products, or eulogize Rufus.
We'll be updating our overview of the absolute best Amazon Prime Day deals several times today, and we'd encourage you to check that out if you're shopping for something specific. Our coverage is a little different than what you find on the rest of the web—we only include products someone on our team has personally tested, and we limit ourselves to products actually discounted from the prices we've been tracking.
Featured deals
The Future of Smart Glasses is Aquatic
It's not all Prime Day around here this week. WIRED continues to publish some regular ol' reviews, including a product that caught my eye: Form's smart swim goggles.
While I personally (along with literally everyone I know in the real world), would not be caught dead wearing weird, creepy, and useless smart glasses on land, there is a practical application in the water, where you can't easily stop to glance down at your watch and see your pace. These glasses from Form sacrifice several important features found on higher-end glasses to get to $150 (you'll need to connect them to an external heart rate monitor to get your pulse), but they'll even coach you up on whether your head is bobbing too far out of the water.
Smart glasses: great for the pool! (So long as they don't have cameras in them, in which case they're back to weird and creepy.)
The Form glasses on sale for $134, $15 off for Prime Day, the lowest price they've ever been in our tracking.
These Earplugs Have Variable Levels of Sound Dampening
I really like Loop earplugs in general, but the Switch 2 are special because they have a built-in level adjuster. Swap between three different modes of sound dampening, all of which will filter out the most damaging frequencies of sound. If your roommate's chewing is driving you insane, choose the most muffled option. If you want to hear a concert in crystal clarity, choose the least. You get the picture. I also like the attractive, jewel-like color options, all of which are discounted for Prime Day.
It’s Hot—You Might Need a Weird Fan
I don’t know what ayahuasca retreat this year’s fan designers attended while thinking up some of the new releases I’ve seen so far this year, but whoever designed Dreame’s new bladeless MF10 was definitely there. Looking a bit like a gyroscope on an overturned trash can (or, more charitably, a set piece from Star Trek), this pedestal model pushes air through two thin, curved blades that oscillate vertically, while the stalk it sits on can oscillate side to side. It’s got a built-in sensor that can automatically adjust the fan speed, as well as a remote and optional app. A digital screen in the center tells you the current temperature. I wasn’t blown away (har har) by the airflow when I tested it, but it’s inarguably a unique look with some pretty useful features, and this is the most discounted I’ve seen it since its release.
This Budget Theragun Is Perfect For All Those Gains
Between the protein shortage and peptides, it feels like 2026 is the year of getting jacked by any means necessary. Which is fine and dandy until it's the morning and you sound like both of your grandparents combined when you're trying to get out of bed because your body is so sore and stiff. Work out those muscle knots with the help of our favorite budget Theragun, which is $60 off for Amazon Prime Day. There are no bells or whistles like Bluetooth or app connectivity, but it comes with three attachments and three speed settings. It's a solid basic option if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Er, a tricep and a quadricep.
Alani Nu, My Beloved, Is On Sale In All Its Forms
I can understand that Alani Nu energy drinks are not for everybody, but they absolutely are for me. The saccharine flavors taste of things like “Pink Slush” and “Orange Kiss” and somehow contain very few calories, zero sugar, and 200 milligrams of caffeine. Amazon's Prime Day deals rival the per-can price I pay at Costco, because yes, I buy Alani Nu in bulk. Lots of flavors are on sale, as are variety packs. I'm currently making my way through the first can of the day, which I realize is not a normal sentence, but then again—these are not normal times. Happy APD, part two.
It may interest the readers to know that, internally, among the most controversial pieces the WIRED Reviews team has published during my time here is the guide to the best energy drinks. It gets a lot of traffic, everyone has an opinion, and poor Pete the freelancer is always getting shade. Also, one time a former staff writer dramatically agreed to do the story to “make money for the company, since that's what's important” while cautioning that his doctor warned him that doing so could kill him.

All right, y'all. Signing off till tomorrow on WIRED's live Amazon Prime Day deals coverage. But never fear, my colleague Louryn Strampe will be back covering live deals starting at 6 a.m. Eastern.
In the meantime, check out all 117 Absolute Best Prime Day Deals, each one actually tested and recommended by WIRED's reviews team. Also see the Best Prime Day Tech Deals, and the Best Prime Day Deals Under $100.
See you tomorrow.
Hey, Here's a Fitbit for Less Than $100
The fitness watch must not only go to the most financially fit. This Charge 6 remains the Fitbit that WIRED recommends for most people, even after three years on the market—it does the stuff you want fitness watches to do. It monitors blood oxygen, heart rate, and skin temp. It tracks how well you sleep, and alerts you to signs of stress and irregular heart rhythms. And right now for Prime Day, it'll do this for $85, nearly half off the listed price.
This Is the Best Blender for Smoothies. It's Cheap Right Now
Ever since the dawn of the protein shake, and the daily smoothie, there's been a real need for a certain kind of blender. A blender that's easy to clean, takes up very little space, and works as an easy daily driver for a morning routine that probably has few seconds to spare. One that doesn't involve leaving a dirty blending jug in the sink for your spouse to find and then complain about.
Well, here you are: this is that blender. The 1200-watt Nutribullet Ultra is the best of its kind. And the blending jug becomes your to-go mug. It's about 30 percent off, less than $100. You quite simply won't do better than this blender, at this price nor size.
This Air Purifier Looks Like a Spaceship and Works to Clean Your Atmosphere
This big boi air purifier looks like a Jetsons-esque space station, and it is futuristic, with built-in AI to detect movement and air-flow auto-adjustment. It has both upward and forward air outlets to exchange air effectively in up to a whopping 7,534 square feet in an hour. It has four-layer filtration; seven high-precision sensors to monitor indoor air quality; and an LCD panel, remote, and connected app to control settings, including voice control. Through panel and app, you can view amounts of PM1, PM2.5, PM10, TVOC, and HCHO in the air—as well as filter life, and the temperature and humidity of the room.
But what’s maybe coolest about this purifier is that it’s a triple threat—on top of being an effective air purifier, it’s also a heater and fan. And with auto mode to intelligently adjust to the air around you, comfort mode for sleep, and pet mode for enhanced air purification against dander and allergens, this air purifier truly is a Jack-of-all-trades. At only $545 right now, it’s more than 25 percent off its regular price.
This Ninja Espresso Machine Has Never Been at a Lower Price
Ninja made a surprisingly competitive entry into the espresso world with its Luxe Cafe line. This semi-automatic machine competes with any other semi-automatic espresso machine in its price range when it comes to the quality and reliability of a basic espresso shot.
But where it excels is milk. It's got maybe the best automatic milk frothing system on any machine I've seen south of $1k. And the ability to do cold foam will be a big deal for those to whom cold foam is a big deal.
Anyway, this $600 deal is the lowest price I've seen the Cafe Pro. I expect the price will probably return for Black Friday, but maybe not again till then.
Just note the usual caveat, which is that the drip coffee from this machine is meh at best. If you buy this machine, buy it for lattes.
Lightning Deal: Half Off a Great Sony Bluetooth Speaker
Lightning Deals are the impulse buys of the Prime Day world—often the weird Amazon-brand multi-consonant detritus that washes up smelly against the shores of the internet.
And then there's this: a great Sony SRS-XB100 bluetooth speaker (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It will be on sale for half price for—at the time of this writing—only 6 hours, 11 minutes and 12 seconds longer. Act fast!
There's little risk if you do act fast, and succumb to impulse. At $33, this is a great little Bluetooth speaker for your next trip to the lake. It's dust- and water-resistant. Good bass. Balanced sound. Plenty durable. It's Sony—it's nice. And weirdly low-priced for another 6 hours, 9 minutes, and 8 seconds.
Every House Needs a Beautiful Cast Iron Skillet
The thing about a good cast iron pan is that it is never meant to leave your stovetop. It stays there, like a sculpture devoted to good eating.
Field Company makes cast iron skillets with two very excellent qualities: They are beautiful, and they are lightweight. The latter quality makes them easy to cook with, as does the smooth finish that's easy to season. The beauty makes them easy to love. And if it's never going to leave your stove, you'd best love the thing.
Anyway, Field's skillets are on a solid 25 percent off deal for Prime Day. I find the No. 8 pan to be a perfect utility size, but you do you. Maybe you want smaller or bigger. Field has both.
This Stashable Air Fryer Replaced My Microwave
The Ninja Crispi portable air fryer is the device that made me not need a microwave anymore. It reheats food better than any microwave, with actual crispness and browning. It's a pizza machine. It's also great for rice, because I can load the rice directly into the bottom of the glass dish. Proteins and veggies can go onto the cook plate.
And because the device and the glass containers are so stashable, I don't even have to use up counter space: Everything slips into the cabinet, to be removd only when I need to reheat something.
Anyway, the best deal for Prime Day is the Crispi bundle with three containers, which is $50 off. You'll want the various dish sizes anyway: All of the glass cooking basins double as serving dishes, and as fridge-storage Tupperware. (Except they're not plastic, so they're better than classic Tupperware.)
Just Because You Rent Doesn't Mean You Don't Deserve Peace of Mind
I'm a product reviewer. I get a lot of packages. But because I rent, I can't do any permanent cam installations in my door, and wiring outside is not convenient. So here's this wireless Nest Cam, probably the best outdoor security camera solution for a renter.
You'll wamt a $10 a month Google subscription. But with no outdoor wiring and no install, you'll get sharp 1080p video with HDR and night vision, 30 days of event history, and face recognition. This $50 off deal for Prime Day deal helps attune the Nest Cam to a renter's budget.
Hey Look, A Smartwatch That Actually Lasts 24 Hours
The Series 11 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best smartwatch for iPhone users in part because of its 24-hour battery life, which is a 6-hour improvement over previous models. Cue the inspirational music: THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING. What this means is the 11 is actually useful as a sleep tracker. Acccordingly, it offers a Sleep Score rating your sleep so you can always be optimizing. Blood oxygen is officially back. And the 11 is FDA-cleared to issue hypertension notifications, so you can chill when needed.
Usually you'd have to weigh comparative advantage versus price when deciding to get the Series 11 or the last-gen Series 10. But when it's $120 off on Prime Day, the Series 11 is both the cheapest and the best. So just… get the 11.
Go Off Grid With This Half-Price Power Station
Yooooooooo. Usually, this Jackery Explorer 1000 is a wish list item, an $800 campsite-friendly beast with a handy fold-out 1,070 watt-hours of power. At just under 24 pounds, it remains portable, and juiced enough to keep your small devices rolling. But for a blockbuster Prime Day deal, this handy power station is now a much more accessible $400.
On other days we'd recommend the Explorer 1500, which adds 50 percent more power. But at this Prime Day price, you could literally buy two Explorer 1000s for less money. That's probably what I'd do.
Dodge Microplastics With This Elegant Coffee Brewer
The Ratio Eight Series 2 is a beautiful and stately coffee maker with walnut trim, as much sculpture as brewer. It brews some of the loveliest coffee I know, with a pour-over-style bloom and profile. I actually feel sad sometimes when I have to leave it to test other coffee makers, because the extraction is so full, full-bodied, and lovely.
But especially, though the device does use plastic on its frame and in the cold water reservoir, the Eight brews coffee without plastic in its brew path. Meaning, hot water does not touch plastic, and thus microplastics don't leach into your coffee while brewing. This is good.
This said, avoiding plastic is expensive. And the Ratio is quite expensive. This sale during Prime Day, $150 off, is the lowest price I have seen on this lovely coffee brewer since the Ratio Eight was still on pre-order. Which is to say, this is the lowest price you'll get this lovely, anti-microplastic brewer anytime soon.
This Pet Camera on Wheels Lasts for Almost a Month on a Single Charge
This is my favorite of all of the pet cameras on wheels that I’ve tested thus far. From pet tech titan Enabot, this wheeled whiz works on both 2.5 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, has clear 2K video resolution and black-and-white night vision, weighs a little over a pound, has a climbing slope of up to 15 degrees, and can clear obstacles up to 10 millimeters. The Rola Mini operates from a connected app on your smartphone where you can manage camera speed and movement, and use action and sound settings to spin; zigzag; and swing the device and send meows, purrs, and duck quacks.
The battery lasts up to 25 days, and the camera sleeps when not in use to conserve battery. When the battery is low, it charges via a magnetic power cord. Through the connected app, you can also take pictures or video recordings, and the camera has an included 32 GB microSD card, but you can opt for a cloud storage subscription. At only $128 ($34 off), this is the lowest price we’ve seen this year.
Pax is Also Having a Huge Sale
I promise I'm blogging about Amazon's old dog-coded AI chatbot Rufus because I'm loopy from working 12 hours and not because I've been using the device, but I just got an email that the Pax 4 is on a crazy sale right now.
It's currently going for $175, which is $75 off the normal price and the lowest I have ever seen it. This is the best vaporizer on the market at the best price you can buy it.
R.I.P. Rufus
I realize I'm maybe a little late to this, but I just realized that Amazon has unceremoniously dispatched Rufus, its old “A.I.” chatbot. There have been changes to reporting lines, and Alexa has expanded her role at the organization to include Rufus' former remit. We must assume that Amazon is deeply grateful for Rufus' leadership and contributions to the company.
This momentum surely reflects the progress Amazon's A.I. operation has made in operating as one unified team and will allow the company to stay agile in a rapidly changing environment. It may even open up new paths to profitability.
Also, I am just now realizing that Rufus was a corgi? I had no idea I was talking to a corgi to try and determine which Torx Bit Set to buy to work on my Volkswagen.
R.I.P. Rufus, you did your best, ol' buddy.
