According to a member of the NintendoWorldReport forums, a new version of the Wii wrist strap is in circulation. This one features a locking clip to keep the strap firmly cinched; the existing version's clip apparently has a tendency to slip, which loosens up the strap.
The strap's already been through a few revisions, most memorably to replace the dental-floss cord of the original with something a bit more sturdy.
