So last year, I asked you
if technology was making democracy stronger or weaker.
You told me weaker in its current use.
What about today?
Still weaker. Why? What stands out to you?
I have family members sending videos,
AI videos of me to me thinking that it's real.
[interviewer laughing]
I mean, it's not funny. I have a family member
who complimented me on a 45-minute debate
that I had with a European member of parliament.
And I watched the video, I was like, This is not me.
Did you win though?
Apparently, I did. Apparently, I did well.
Defeated my European AI counterpart. But no, it wasn't real.
And I think that there is a real crisis of faith
as to what is real right now.
And some of the application of it, it's lighthearted,
it's funny, but it is quite terrifying to think
that in an age of such little faith
in traditional institutions,
how even that could be diminished further
by the application of this technology in that way.
