The Ferrari 166 MM is the only car to ever win all three of Europe's great races: the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Targa Florio, and the Mille Miglia. The example from 1950 was made for racing, with a no frills cockpit, plexiglass windows, and leather tie-down straps.

A more modern take on racing, this is the car Ryan Hunter-Reay used to win the 2014 Indianapolis 500. The winning bidder also gets two season-long VIP credentials, courtesy of Andretti Autosport.

The 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO was built for racing, with a lightweight steel tube chassis and body panels made from fiberglass, Kevlar, and aluminum. This example of the model has been extremely well maintained, and is one of just 272 made. It's expected to sell for more than $2 million.

There's a reason Gooding & Co. thinks someone's going to pay more than $1.8 million for this 1929 Duesenberg Model J Dual Cowl Phaeton. Its first owner was John Duval Dodge, the son of one of the automaker's founders. Still carrying its original engine and chassis, and restored a few years ago, it's worthy of Jay Gatsby.

BMW made just 399 road-going M1s, and this example has just 13,000 miles on the odometer. Boasting a mid-engine setup and developed in collaboration with Lamborghini, the M1 represented a new kind of car for BMW. It hit 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, and topped out north of 160 mph.

At the 1964 Paris Auto Salon, Ferrari showed up with the 275 GTB, an updated take on the famed 250 GT series. This car, from 1967, carried a 12-cylinder engine, cast alloy wheels, and three carburetors. It's estimated at $2.6 to $3 million.

This year's Scottsdale auction includes a collection of classic and modern Ferraris owned by Tony Shooshani.

Shooshani's wide-ranging collection includes a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Cabriolet, in "blu scoro" paint. With the original factory hardtop, it should sell for more than $2 million.
Gooding & Company/Mike Maez112003-Ferrari-Enzo-2897-MM
Like any respectable Ferrari collector, Shooshani's got an Enzo. The chief supercar of its day, the Enzo ran to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and topping out at 217 mph. Just 349 were built, and this 2003 example has just 2,600 miles on the odometer. It's expected to fetch $2.4 to $2.8 million.

Unveiled in Geneva in March 1995, this Ferrari F50 has driven just 1,110 miles and should sell for more than $2.5 million.
