Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, main camera. I love this shot. The sky isn't blown out, and the underside of the overpass isn't masked in darkness. It has good colors too.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, main camera with Night mode. This is a great shot for an area that's darker than it looks. I love the abundance of colors here, and things are mostly sharp. Compare this with the following Pixel 5 photo.

Google Pixel 5, main camera with Night Sight. The Pixel 5 brightens up the scene a little more without losing much contrast, and it's a hair sharper (though you have to zoom in to notice).

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, optical zoom camera. In bright, sunny conditions, the telephoto zoom camera is excellent. Even when you zoom in here, the image looks pristine, and the colors are fantastic.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, optical zoom camera. Here's another shot that just wouldn't look the same if I used the main camera. By zooming in, you get an effect that elongates the entire picture and makes the depth more visible. Zoom in and you'll see that this photo isn't the sharpest (this area was much darker than the previous photo), but I like the colors a lot.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, 10X zoom. The original S20 range used hybrid zoom tech to offer decent-looking photos at 10X zoom. The FE skips this feature. This image looks exactly as you'd expect a digitally zoomed-in photo to look.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, 10X zoom. The special zoom tech in the S20 range is the biggest noticeable difference with the FE. This shot is immensely more detailed.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, optical zoom camera. There's are some strange hues here, particularly toward the bottom center of the frame—Samsung has sapped out many of the shadows. But I otherwise like this shot. It's sharp.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, main camera with Night mode. This is a pretty good low-light shot. There's good separation between the colors, nothing looks muddy, and detail is admirable. Compare this with the following Pixel 5 photo.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, main camera. Here's where some colors can start to look a bit weird. It's usually when the phone is trying to manage high-contrast scenes. By decreasing the highlights in the sky, the blue looks strange and isn't at all similar to what it was in real life.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, Portrait mode. Samsung manages well with its Live Focus mode (portrait mode). The blur around the subject is mostly accurate, and the subject itself is well detailed with solid colors.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, ultrawide camera. The ultrawide cam is as handy as ever, letting you take in more of a scene than usual. The sky is a strange blue hue here—again, an effect of the camera trying to manage the high-contrast scene—but the colors are great, and detail is strong.
