OnePlus 10 Camera Samples
Featured in this article

OnePlus 10 Pro, XPan mode. This camera mode takes a photo with the main camera and ultrawide and fuses them for an uncommon and very wide aspect ratio, just like the look of select Hasselblad cameras. The screen even flashes into a negative briefly during capture as an homage to film. It's a fun mode, and you can shoot in black and white or color.

OnePlus 10 Pro, main camera. The OnePlus camera often shines during the daytime, and this is a good example. It exposes the whole scene well, the colors are solid, and there's good detail.

OnePlus 10 Pro, main camera with Nightscape. Stand still for a few seconds and you can boost the colors and sharpness in low-light scenes with OnePlus' Nightscape mode.

OnePlus 10 Pro, Portrait mode. The blur effect is pretty solid here on my pet, though the phone fuses the ends of his hair as if he's a cardboard cutout. The details are pretty sharp here, and the colors are pleasant.

Photograph: Julian Chokkattu05OnePlus 10 Pro, 3.3x telephoto zoom. The zoom camera is a small step up from last year's OnePlus phone, though images tend not to be as sharp as those from peers like the Google Pixel 6 Pro.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu06OnePlus 10 Pro, Portrait mode. The blur effect is great here, and without zooming in, this is a solid photo. A closer look at the subject's face, though, will reveal very little detail—it's very much like a painting.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu07OnePlus 10 Pro, ultrawide. The 50-megapixel ultrawide camera takes solid photos, but compare this photo to the following one. The colors here are slightly off, from the sky to the church. Zoom in and details are also not as sharp.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu08Google Pixel 6 Pro, ultrawide. The Pixel photo looks a whole lot more natural with more accurate colors, and it's a good deal sharper too.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu09OnePlus 10 Pro, 3.3x telephoto. Colors are slightly off here again, though the detail is pretty solid. Compare this with the following image.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu10Google Pixel 6 Pro, 4x telephoto. The Pixel can zoom in closer and its entire image produces more details than the OnePlus phone and delivers more accurate colors.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu11OnePlus 10 Pro, main camera. This image is sharper than the ultrawide from earlier, but the same issues with the color reproduction exist. Compare this image to the following one.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu12Google Pixel 6, main camera. The Pixel photo is a smidge sharper and generally doesn't *look* as processed as the OnePlus photo. The colors look a whole lot better here.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu13OnePlus 10 Pro, selfie camera with Nightscape. The 32-megapixel selfie camera is pretty sharp though compare it with the following image to see how it stacks up against Samsung.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu14Samsung Galaxy S22\+, selfie camera with Night mode. Samsung's image is sharper, and I like my skin tone better here. It's not as washed out or bright. Ironic, considering OnePlus says its selfie camera should do a better job with skin tones in this phone.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu15OnePlus 10 Pro, main camera. Close-ups like this with the main camera can produce rich detail with pleasant colors, especially when there's a good amount of light.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu16OnePlus 10 Pro, main camera with Nightscape. OnePlus boosts the saturation here, which isn't a bad thing. It gives the photo a bit more pop, and it does a decent job illuminating the building in the background. Zoom in and the image overall isn't quite as sharp as the following photo.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu17Google Pixel 6 Pro, main camera with Night Sight. When I mean zoom in, look at areas like the fence above the taco stand. The grid lines are tack sharp on the pixel photo, but come off as fuzzy in the OnePlus photo. This is something I noticed on a vast majority of low-light OnePlus 10 Pro images. That said, I do think the Pixel photo falls short at lighting up the background, and it could stand to let the neon sign shine.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu18OnePlus 10 Pro, main camera with Nightscape. The colors already look a tiny bit off here, but this is an otherwise solid image.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu19OnePlus 10 Pro, ultrawide with Nightscape. Compare this image with the following one from the OnePlus 9 Pro. It's not as sharp and the colors are off. It's bizarre.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu20OnePlus 9 Pro, ultrawide with Nightscape. This image is multitudes sharper than the OnePlus 10 Pro, and the colors are more realistic, too.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu21OnePlus 10 Pro, 48-MP mode. You can choose to take a high-resolution photo with the main camera instead of the default pixel-binned image. It produces a more natural bokeh effect and is much sharper, as you can see here.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu22OnePlus 10 Pro, 150 Fisheye mode. Play around with the camera app\! I like this fisheye mode, which uses the ultrawide camera for this cool circular effect.
