Nothing Phone (1), Night mode. You can get some pretty nice shots out of the phone's main camera if you use it with the built-in Night mode, though you'll have to stay still a few seconds. Colors aren't muddy, though details could stand to be sharper.

Nothing Phone (1), Night mode. If you look closely, the camera doesn't pick up some of the brickwork on the building. But I really love the colors—it's pretty close to what the scene looked like in real life.

Nothing Phone (1), Night mode. With or without Night mode, you'll have trouble getting sharp shots of subjects that move a lot. This was a lucky case where my dog stood still long enough. It's decently sharp, and I like that it retained a lot of the colors in the background.

Nothing Phone (1), main camera. Yes, the sky was that pink on this day. You can tell some of the highlights are veering toward being over-exposed, but not quite. The underside of the leaves is still surprisingly detailed and isn't mired in shadow.

Nothing Phone (1), main camera. The next few photos are the same, just with different lighting styles. Here's what it looks like using the phone's flash. The image is sharp, though the light is reflecting off my pup's eye. It looks a bit harsh, and it's clear the background is considerably darker.

Nothing Phone (1), main camera. Now here's the same photo but using the Glyph lights on the back of the phone. My dog's nose is just as sharp, but the light doesn't look too harsh. The light in the room looks much more natural and better distributed.

Nothing Phone (1), main camera. Flash can be handy when you're taking photos of people at night, but it's also … really bright. That's why I'm squinting in this photo. Still, it's sharp and my skin tone looks right. Note the background though, it's too dark to make out.

Nothing Phone (1), main camera. Using the Glyph as a fill light is smart, but you're not always going to get the best results. My skin has a greenish hue here, and my face overall isn't as sharp as in the previous photo. The plus side? The background is much more visible.

Nothing Phone (1), ultrawide camera. There is another camera on this phone, and honestly, I could do without it. There's a good deal of distortion in this daytime image, some overexposure in the sky in the center, and if you look closely at the leaves, it's filled with noise.

Nothing Phone (1), Portrait mode. Portrait mode is a surprising success on this phone. There are some blips here and there with the hair, but most of the subject is separated from the blurred-out background, and details are strong.

Nothing Phone (1), Night mode. The best part of Night mode is that it retains colors really well. The photos it produces look quite natural, just not completely sharp sometimes. Still, the results are really pleasing. I'm quite happy with this shot.

Nothing Phone (1), main camera. Here's a quick shot I snapped when my dog popped his head out under the sofa. It's a smidge blurry, but solid overall with nice colors.
