    Krabi, Thailand. While the original Syden was typically destinations around the Mediterranean, locations farther away have become more accessible through direct flights and low fares. Technically, there is not much difference between the Syden experience in Thailand or Africa except a longer flight. And the possibility of meeting monkeys on the beach.

    Gran Canaria, Spain. Every week some members of the Norwegian Club meets to play skittles in the market place in Arguineguin. The prize for the winner is a big bottle of wine---2nd prize receives a bottle of wine, 3rd prize receives a bottle of wine, and 4th - 12th ... also a bottle of wine.

    Resort in Bahia Feliz, Gran Canaria, Spain. A rabbit's work day is mostly about hugging strangers ---both kids and a large number of adults line up to be hugged. Wang wished to photograph the rabbit as he took off his costume and put it away for the day, but the tour operator's policy wouldn't allow it as it would "destroy the magic for the children."

    Water gymnastics, Gran Canaria, Spain. The warm climate gives significant health benefits for many people. In Patalavaca, Gran Canaria there is a Norwegian school and health centre. Norwegians come here to recover and are given physiotherapeutic treatment as well as treatment for allergies, skin diseases, etc.
