Defending champ Mercedes has largely picked up where it left off, running a new engine and its W06 chassis far longer than anyone else in Jerez. Reliability was the team's Achilles' Heel last year and early indications suggest Mercedes has made great strides towards overcoming it.

Ferrari has a new driver lineup, poaching four-time champion Sebastian Vettel from Red Bull. It's odd seeing the German in *rosso corsa*, but he set the fastest lap on Day Two and clocked an impressive 89 laps in his SF15-T.

The love-it-or-hate-it camouflage (we love it) on the Red Bull RB11 hides some subtle aerodynamic tweaks that could help the team challenge Mercedes for the top of the podium this year. Reliability has been a challenge in testing however, with RB newcomer Daniil Kvyat failing to post a competitive lap time on Day Two.

McLaren-Honda says the livery on the MP4-30 will change once it finds a new sponsor (might we suggest the classic red and white of yore?), but that's a minor issue as McLaren and new engine partner Honda work out the kinks in the new engine. Jenson Button was far off the pace and only logged 6 laps in early testing.

Williams continued to impress after a strong run last year, running the FW37 1.335 seconds behind Vettel's Ferrari. The team looks ready to make another run in 2015 and we'll be thrilled to see the famous Martini livery at the front of the grid.

Sauber, which rolled into Jerez sporting a startling blue and yellow livery, hopes to rebound from an abysmal season with the new C34. A pair of new drivers with deep-pocketed sponsors has brought an infusion of cash, but Sauber is still on the hunt for a main sponsor. The team has performed strongly in testing so far.

Force India is skipping Jerez, choosing instead to use the time to continue developing the VJM08 car. The team strongly denies rumors that it wouldn't have the car ready for the season opener in Australia next month. It plans to attend the pre-season test in Barcelona.

After missing the first day of testing in Jerez, Lotus' new E23 hit the track with Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado at the wheel. The team has switched from Renault to Mercedes engines, with the team hoping to challenge Williams for third or fourth in the Constructors' Championship.
