2023 Motorola Razr+ Camera Samples

Motorola Razr\+, main camera. Compare this photo with the following image. This comparison is a good example of how Motorola's cameras don't measure up to the competition. There's an over-sharpened look to the whole photo, shadows are brightened too much, and there's no warmth.

Google Pixel 7, main camera. The Pixel 7's photo doesn't look too *processed*. Leaves look like leaves and are easy to make out even at a distance. The colors look natural, and the color temperature is wonderful.

Motorola Razr\+, main camera. This photo isn't as sharp as I'd like and the colors are unnatural. The sky is a weird blue.

Motorola Razr\+, main camera. None of this is to say that you can't take a good shot with the Razr\+. I like this photo as the colors look good, there's good detail, and it's all sharp.

Photograph: Julian Chokkattu05Motorola Razr\+, main camera. The best part of the Razr\+ is using it for selfies because, unlike most phones, you don't need to rely on an inferior selfie camera. Instead, use the external display as a viewfinder and use the primary camera. Compare this with the following Pixel photo and it's easy to see how much sharper it is, though it did brighten our skin tones a bit.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu06Google Pixel 7, selfie camera. The Pixel 7's selfie camera is fixed focus so it never looks too sharp. The Motorola phone's selfies are sharper, though the Pixel often delivers nicer skin tones.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu07Motorola Razr\+, main camera, Night Vision. The same is true in low light, perhaps even more so since the larger sensor can take in more light than most selfie cameras. Compare this with the following image and the difference in sharpness is immediately noticeable. Motorola easily takes the win here.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu08Google Pixel 7, selfie camera, Night Sight. The Pixel's selfie camera isn't as sharp as Motorola's main camera. If you love taking selfies, you'll be quite happy with Moto's phone.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu09Motorola Razr\+, main camera, Night Vision. In low light, Motorola's Razr\+ likes to brighten everything too much to the point where the whole image looks flat.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu10Google Pixel 7, main camera, Night Sight. I like this Pixel 7 photo more because it maintains those shadows and recreates the scene more accurately. It also has a nice natural blur effect around the subject.

Photograph: Julian Chokkattu12Motorola Razr\+, main camera. For some reason, this second photo I captured is filled with noise, squashing much of the details in the subjects. You can't see many of the fine strands of pet hair on my dog's chest, for example.
