Imagine gnawing into a juicy hunk of meat from Golden Axe, or finally tasting a moist slice of that cake GLaDOS keeps promising you. You can bite into those and other game-themed morsels thanks to recipes created by [Gourmet Gaming](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/), a foodie blog for gamers run by digital designer Daniella Zelli. Zelli, who lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, has whipped up over 30 gaming concoctions since she started the blog several months ago, including recipes from Paper Mario, Team Fortress 2 and Deus Ex. "I started Gourmet Gaming in June of this year as a small side project, something fun to do while trying to find a job," Zelli told Wired.com in an e-mail. "I hosted a Deadly Premonition gaming night where I served Sinner's Sandwiches. It got me thinking about food from other games and the idea grew from there." For your reading (and cooking) pleasure, here are 10 of Zelli's best morsels. __Above:__ Portal -- The Cake ------------------ Dedicated Portal fans understand the pain of chasing a cake that you can never quite find. Using [a bunch of standard baking ingredients](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/6083685670/portal-the-cake-is-a-lie-recipe-for-my-first) (with cherries and chocolate for a stylish garnish), you can thwart GLaDOS in real life. Extra points if you refrain from making "the cake is a lie" jokes. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG1_Portal-Lie-Cake_COMP1.jpg)
02golden-axe
Golden Axe -- The Meat ---------------------- This amorphous hunk o' meat is made out of [chicken, beef and even some sausage for good measure](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/8745072752/request-golden-axe-the-meat-the-requester). While preparing the meat, you'll have to be extra careful to keep the whole roll in place. No word on whether it will restore your health or just induce vomiting. 03deus-ex
Deus Ex -- Chunko-Honey Candy Bar --------------------------------- One of my favorite parts of Deus Ex is stealing everything I can get my paws on, from sniper rifles to candy bars. The Chunko-Honey bars sound particularly delicious, though we never actually see what's inside the wrapper. Fortunately, [Zelli's interpretation looks like a saccharine treat](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/9339742635/deus-ex-chunko-honey-candy-bar-there-was), blending chocolate, honey, toffee and nuts in what appears to be one hell of a calorie booster. 04team-fortress-2
Team Fortress 2 -- Sandvich --------------------------- This quirky-looking sandwich is the quirky-looking health item for Team Fortress 2's Heavy. Made up of [ham, swiss cheese, white bread and mayonnaise](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/9637230473/team-fortress-2-sandvich-edible-device-many-of) , it's the perfect meal if you also want to become a Heavy. 05dead-rising
Dead Rising -- Golden Brown Pizza --------------------------------- Dare you to stare at this photo for 30 seconds and NOT dial up your local pizzeria for some takeout. But if you're looking to craft your own homemade version, Gourmet Gaming has got you covered, delivering a recipe for [pizza covered with pepperoni, mozzarella, black olives and even pineapple](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/10773222233/dead-rising-golden-brown-pizza-ill-happily-be). Just watch out for zombies. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG19_Golden-Brown-PizzaCOMP.jpg)
06beyond-good-evil
Beyond Good & Evil -- Starkos ----------------------------- These unusual pastries are filled with [shrimp, potatoes and all sorts of Jamaican spices](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/11070201966/beyond-good-and-evil-starkos-i-missed-out-on). Like Jade in Beyond Good & Evil, you can use Starkos to restore the health of you or your companions while adventuring through the dangerous planet of Hillys. Or you could just eat them while watching TV. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG20_StarkosCOMP.jpg)
07minecraft
Minecraft -- Cake ----------------- You won't need a pickaxe to dig into this block of square cake from Minecraft, the open world sandbox game that stormed the industry last year. It's [a basic vanilla cake with some red and white frosting](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/11355781039/request-minecraft-cake-i-purposefully-dont), perfect for both eating and fashioning into large statues of Mario. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG21_MinecraftCakeCOMP.jpg)
08costume-quest-2
Costume Quest -- Pizza Sundae ----------------------------- Possibly the most bizarre item on Gourmet Gaming's menu, this Pizza Sundae is pretty much what you'd imagine: a pizza-shaped sundae. It's made out of [peanuts, biscuits, ice cream, chocolate chunks and all sorts of other delicious ingredients](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/11947736749/costume-quest-pizza-sundae-pizza-sundae-was-the) that I'm sure developer Double Fine already plans to start cooking up in its own kitchens. For extra Costume Quest cred, wear your spaceman outfit while making this. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG23_Costume-Quest-Pizza-SundaeCOMP.jpg)
09skyrim
Skyrim -- Sweet Roll -------------------- Don't let anybody steal this frosting-covered treat, the likes of which you'll find all over the snowy mountains of Skyrim. [Cream cheese, butter and pastry dough combine to make one hell of a dessert](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/12553999356/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-sweet-roll-this), the perfect snack for killing dragons or whatever it is that you do. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG27_Skyrim-Sweet-RollCOMP.jpg)
10paper-mario
Paper Mario -- Koopasta ----------------------- Nothing says "delicious" like a plate full of green pasta, which may be why Gourmet Gaming devised this pesto-filled dish from Paper Mario. Blend up some garlic, fresh basil and pine nuts to form the base for [these tasty-looking green noodles](http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/7054798420/request-paper-mario-koopasta-i-got-a-request), garnished with a nice chunk of lettuce. Turtles will love it. [](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2011/12/GG6_KoopastaCOMP.jpg)
