*Why don't you just... give them a thousand dollars. Come on, you know you have the money.
I'm writing today to wish you and yours a happy fiscal year 2019 (for those of us who observe June 30) — and to invite you to support Rhizome in our activities over the next twelve months. Membership gifts at $30 and above support our free activities at rhizome.org and beyond, including: - The field-defining Net Art Anthology, the exhibition series First Look, and experimental projects like The Download; - Original criticism and scholarship about net art, blockchain, AI, and more; - Our microgrants (open call this summer!) and commissions programs funding new born-digital work; and - The open-source Webrecorder, a platform allowing anyone to archive and share their view of the web. And to sweeten the deal, donate at $30 and above, and we'll send you one of our limited run What's to be done? magazines, edited by Nora Khan, designed by Richard Turley, and featuring folks like Paul Ford, Claire L. Evans, Fred Turner, Kate Ray, and Martine Syms exploring topics like crypto, privacy, and SV culture.
Commissions. Exhibition. Preservation. We do a lot these days, but we're still a small, community-driven organization at heart. I hope you'll join us in our work championing born-digital art and culture. For now, happy new year!
(And for the post-paper among us, gifts are accepted in crypto, here.)
Warmly,
Zachary Kaplan
Executive Director
