Boutayna Chokrane is a product writer and reviewer at WIRED, covering consumer wearables, wellness tech, and online trends. She specializes in smartwatches, fitness trackers, beauty tech, and more. Before joining the Gear team, she was a music editorial fellow at Pitchfork. She also worked as a freelance journalist, covering fashion, arts, and culture, for Vogue, Rolling Stone, the Cut, and others. When she’s not testing smart rings or compression boots, you can find her in a heated class or binging Bravo TV with her cats. Boutayna graduated from Northwestern University with a master’s degree in journalism, and she lives in Chicago.
