Formlabs Form 1
If you think 2-D laser printers are cool--and really, who doesn't?--wait until you use this 3-D laser printer. The
Form 1 stereolithographic 3-D printer creates three-dimensional models by zapping a tub full of liquid plastic resin with an ultraviolet laser. Compared to rival 3-D printers, the Form 1 is capable of much more detailed creations. It's even an aesthetically pleasing piece of hardware in its own right.
