*Actually "steampunk for multiculturalism" would likely be even more interesting. One can do most anything with steampunk, but multiculti is a narrow and righteous little thing. If you showed up in some empire that was genuinely real-life multicultural, like say the Ottomans, and you said "hey let's be all tolerant and inclusive," they'd just nod and then cut your head off in the public square.
