True to 007 form, the trailer parades a string of hellacious transportation-themed mishaps set in exotic locations as helicopters, subway trains and cars blow up. We’re also reminded that Bond looks good in a tuxedo.
Following Craig’s franchise-saving performances in Casino Royale and The Quantum of Solace, the new Bond film brings Judi Dench’s spymaster character M to the foreground when secrets from her past threaten to wreak havoc on British intelligence. It falls to Bond to protect M and the free world from the destructive conspiracy.
Directed by British Oscar-winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty), the 23rd Bond movie co-stars Javier Bardem as the villain Silva, with Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, French actress Bérénice Marlohe and newcomer Helen McCrory in supporting roles.
Skyfall opens Nov. 9.
