My name is Geeta Dayal. This month, I'll be guest blogging at Beyond the Beyond about the history of electronic music, bizarre art and technology projects, and vintage Bollywood soundtracks. I wrote my first book about Brian Eno (Another Green World, 2009) and I'm currently at work on a second book about the outer fringes of electronic music. I have a blog called The Original Soundtrack, and you can find me on Twitter at @geetadayal.
I met Bruce Sterling at a gallery in Los Angeles, where our friend Simon Reynolds–Beyond the Beyond's most recent guest blogger–was speaking. Bruce and I got to talking; he took a hilarious photo of me with Billy Idol, in one of life's stranger and more surreal moments (I'm on the left):

Before I begin, here are two recent pieces I wrote, both concerning the history of electronic music, that you might enjoy reading. The first is a massive interview I did with the late, great Max Mathews, father of computer music, three weeks before his untimely death in April.
The second is a big essay I wrote on the late, great Conrad Schnitzler, legend of German electronic music.
Stay tuned for more, in the coming days...
