This beautiful concept radio design from John Van Den Nieuwenhuizen makes the iPod look like a busy piece of design. The interface of the appropriately named Hidden Radio works thusly: To increase volume, slide the tube up. This not only makes it louder, it also changes the shape of the bass chamber. The visual feedback is obvious: open = loud, closed = quiet.
Tuning, the only other function you need, is done by twisting. There is no readout, but the light inside changes brightness depending on which way you spin the dial.
One word: Want. And please, please, John, don't defile it with an iPod dock.
