Malcolm McLaren was a designer and boutique owner before he became the manager of the Sex Pistols. Now his son Joe Corre is following in dad's footsteps with a clothing line called, what else, "Terrorist."

Now, that's punk. Isn't it?
According to Reuters, Corre's East London boutique A Child of Jago is filled with the likes of Teddy Boy and bondage fashion similar to those sold by his father and mother, Vivienne Westwood. Some are emblazoned with the buzzword that has caused everyone from Michael Chertoff to ex-Secretary of Education Rod Paige to suddenly become expert linguists on international, ideological violence. It's the type of appropriation that can either straighten everyone out, or piss everyone off.

Either way, Corre gets paid. And paid, pardon the pun, handsomely.

this audio or video is no longer availablePersonally speaking, I think it's cool. When Rod Paige is calling a teacher's union terrorists or Richard Perle is lobbing the same accusation at Seymour Hersh, you know the word has gotten out of hand. So watching Corre turn it into fashion is a nice reality check for everyone. But I'm sure there are other opinions out there, which is exactly why our comments section below was created.

Is Corre using shock and violence to sell crappy clothes? Or is he, like his father, taking violence and rebellion and exposing it for the pose that it is? You decide, Listening Posters. You decide.
