It was only a matter of time before Konami released the official trailer for the upcoming DS vampire hunting title Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, and the short wait was totally worth it.
Not only does the clip offer enough gameplay footage to ensure fans of the series’ previous handheld entries will be drooling up until the moment the game hits shelves, but it also spends a good deal of time showing off that gorgeous neo-gothic Castlevania art work.
Even the musical accompaniment is stunning. It fits the series’ tone perfectly, hearkens back to other Castlevania games’ stirring audio and excites all those parts of my mind that enjoy slaying the undead.
This is where I’d normally offer some kind of warning against getting your collective hopes up, but Konami has yet to disappoint with a portable Castlevania title. Feel free to anticipate as hard as you’d like.
