I hate to say this, but due to family being in town and the Nintendo summit, I just didn't have any time to put into Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas this week for the continuation of "Confessions of a Grand Theft Auto Virgin."

However, I did play it for about half an hour and find it remarkable that one of the first cut scenes in the game, an argument in a cemetery, easily the most dramatically charged and pitch-perfect cinematics I've seen in a *GTA *game thus far, was immediately followed up by a ridiculous, mood-shattering bicycle race.

I don't think Rockstar can get away with that kind of ludicrous juxtaposition in Grand Theft Auto IV. I think the graphics alone mean that it needs to be far more realistic.

More on San Andreas, and Liberty City Stories, next week.
