Pitchfork Media, the music news and reviews site that occasionally delights in feting then trashing an artist before most music fans have even heard of them, plans to give music know-it-alls another way to see what their latest "favorite band of all time" is up to, with the April 7 launch of Pitchfork.tv, "the first-ever music video channel dedicated to documenting independentmusic as it happens."
Pitchfork's channel will dwarf Current TV's weekly half-hour indie music show; the press release (below) implies that this will be a 24-hour music channel, and claims it will have resolution high enough for full-screen viewing.
