The Jetpack. The ultimate symbol of a never-to-be future. But that doesn’t stop us all from wanting one. Despite the short flight times, the danger and the noise (check the crowd in the video, fingers in ears) it’s the closest we’ve come to on-demand personal flight. Here is a 1966 demonstration at Disneyland, celebrating ten years of the theme park. Watch for the magical scene as the pilot flies around the castle.
