The Eye Power will cure short sightedness, or so it claims. The little gun fires ultrasound at your eye and, we suppose, reshapes the cornea. The site is composed almost entirely of text rendered as images, so full translation is impossible, but it appears that the thing is approved by "Health, Labor and Welfare of ophthalmic medical devices".
As spectacle wearer, I'd love this to be true, but I doubt very much that it works. Maybe I'm being short sighted, here? Any scientific readers should comment on the viability of this $800 toy, and on whether or not it can also turn loaves into fish, and water into wine.
