
Tastelessness can infect even the most well-heeled designs, and the iPhone is no exception. Goldstriker, a British company that specializes in chav-plating gadgets in 24 carat gold, is to start doing so with iPhones.
It's not clear how it's going to do business from "mid-October" given the 1.1.1 firmware lockout and the U.K.'s November release date, but it'll likely be so expensive to buy one of these that shipping the things to Europe and then back to the States afterward isn't going to be an issue.
For the record, the woefully-misspelled marketing blurb describes it like so: "Absolute stunning phone,struck .999 hardened 24ct gold. Parts adourned in gold inc front full surround and 3/4 of the rear, more pictures
to be added at a later date. Prices are yet to be announced."
