Apple Kremlinologists noted the iPhone's brief appearance, disappearance, reappearance and disappearance from Apple's component cable page, and put two and two together. Yes, folks, the iPhone does TV-Out.
Assuming you're happy to pay Apple $50 for some plastic and copper, what do you get? The iPhone will display video on the TV set and even offer a miniature preview on its touchscreen, but it isn't clear what the output resolution is. The cables do not work with the iPhone dock, though the forthcoming Universal Dock might be a different deal (its description is precisely vague in all the right areas)
Oh, and the capability comes with the 1.1.1 update, so it's only for untampered iPhones.
