Mark Pacini, director of the recently released Wii title Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, says that developer Retro Studios will be taking a break from the series that brought them worldwide fame:
I've been shoving in Metroid time as much as possible over the last couple of days, and it's safe to say that Retro and Nintendo have shown the world exactly how a first-person shooter should be done with Wii controls. I'd like to see them tackle a different problem rather than immediately get shuffled onto a Metroid sequel; after all, they've been working exclusively on this series for the last... seven years? Eight?
