Hellgate: London, the much-anticipated PC hack-n-slash RPG set in an alternate reality, will be arriving in North American stores on October 31st. Halloween is certainly an appropriate day to unleash the demons of Hellgate, but according to Flagship CEO Bill Roper, the decision had more to do with economics than atmosphere:

We wanted to hit the sweet-spot for release in terms of the development schedule and delivering the highest-quality game to our players. Halloween was the perfect fit as it ensures that Hellgate: London will have an appropriate amount of beta testing, while also being an incredibly fun time to unleash the game.

Speaking of Halloween and sweets, I maintain that mini Nestle Crunch bars are the best trick-or-treat swag you can get, and that Necco Wafers are really only good for licking and then sticking to your brother.
