Microsoft has announced that the Xbox 360 Elite will be released in Japan this October. Yawns and shrugs to follow shortly afterwards.
Launching on October 11th, the Elite will retail for 47,800 yen, or $390. Because, you know, what's been keeping the Japanese from embracing the 360 all this time was the size of the hard drive and the beige color scheme. Meanwhile, no plans have yet been announced to release the Elite in Europe, where people might actually buy it.
