Many publishers' E3 lineups seem to consist only of previously-announced titles, but Atlus has just unleashed a flood of new excitement. Topping the company's game list are sequels to the Nintendo DS adventure game Touch Detective and an all-new Trauma Center for Wii.
Atlus says that Trauma Center: New Blood, which ships this holiday, will contain fully-voiced dialogue, online leaderboards, and a two-player cooperative mode.
Touch Detective 2 1/2, already released in Japan, is another resurrection of the point-and-click adventure genre on the Nintendo DS. It features a longer storyline, more characters, and "game design enhancements" that hopefully include making a few of the puzzles less obtuse. I still loved the first one, so I'll be all over this this holiday season.
Atlus is also gearing up to release Ontamarama, a rhythm game for the DS that I've never heard of before. "Can there be such a thing," you ask. Apparently the game features 12 stages and makes "full use" of the touch screen, microphone, and dual screens. I am intrigued. Perhaps it will be in Atlus' booth.
Capping off the announcements is Draglade for the Nintendo DS, which is a "rhythm fighting" game. Oh, Atlus. You know how to push my buttons.
I'll definitely try to get down to Atlus' booth in the hangar and check these out.
