Tomb Raider: Anniversary
is being released as episodic content on the 360, but only to owners of Tomb Raider: Legend. The game will be available in four episodes and will cost 2400 points total; Episodes 1 and 2 will be available in September, with the remaining two episodes arriving shortly afterwards. A full retail version for the 360 should be out later in the year. You'll have to have a copy of *Tomb Raider: Legend *in order to download the content and, one presumes, have the disc in the drive at the time of download.

Episodic content is cool. Episodic content made exclusive to a certain segment of the population, not so cool. Giving folks some kind of discount on Anniversary if they have Legend, or perhaps just some freebies, like extra costumes, themes, or "making of" videos, would make perfect sense, but shutting out anyone who doesn't have a copy is just plain stupid. Legend was a very good game, but it was also a very short game, and even folks who played the hell out of it would have had good reason to trade it in long ago. The idea is to reward those who have the game, not punish those who don't.
