Charge any old thing with Brando's Unversal Solar Charger; USB, cellphones and other 'lil gizmos are all good to go on a sunny day, though a DC adapter is provided for cloudy moments. At peak output, it supplies 9V at 1A. The charger is $70.
Anyone who'se ever owned those solar-powered garden lamps will know exactly what they're getting themselves in for, here. My feeling is that if a small solar cell left out in blazing, 120-degree New Mexican summer days can't generate enough juice to recharge an AAA battery enough to keep the a dim nightlight going until morning, then this will probably suck just as bad.
