The iconic adventure game that spawned countless imitators and was available for every game system that had a CD drive, Myst, is now being reborn on the DS. The source code is being rewritten from the ground up exclusively for the DS, and a brand new area, the Rime Age, is being added. New sounds, effects, and video clips will be added throughout, though hopefully they won't be replacing that "whom-whom-whom" noise that happens when you travel through one of the books.
I've gotten into some heated debates as to whether or not Myst is actually a game; some folks seem to be of the opinion that a loosely-connected group of puzzles isn't a game, per se, especially when said puzzles suffer from insular logic. I'm a sucker for Myst, so I'll be picking this up, for sure, but I'd still like to know how anyone was supposed to solve that redwood tree puzzle without help.
