Milano in Digitale II is a competition open to young artists who utilize digital media. Milano in Digitale II was organized by Fondazione D’Ars Oscar Signorini with the support of the City of Milan.
Milano in Digitale II’s events will kick off with a round table on the theme of digital art, where artists, teachers, and influential thinkers will share their ideas on digital art. Rules for the contest will be published online on the website www.milanoindigitale.it and on the pages www.comune.milano.it/giovani/index.html dedicated to young people of the City of Milan from June through October 2007.
Upon conclusion of the contest period in October, a jury of experts will evaluate the works of participating artists and will announce the first three places, who will have the chance to participate to one of the Transistor workshops in Prague during summer 2008. The first ten places will participate to the exhibition “Fabbrica del Vapore” in Milan. Through this exhibition, artists will have the opportunity to interact with the public with their works, conclusive step of their creative path.
Milano in Digitale II aims at giving visibility to artists who work with digital media and especially stresses the goal of providing young artists with a chance of growth from both an intellectual and an artistic perspective, offering a solid background of motivation and experiences and confronting them with the International digital art scene.
