David Gardner, EA's executive VP of international studios, has been awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, in recognition of his support for UK creative talent and game development. Being made an Officer is a few steps down from being knighted, so he won't be able to add "Sir" to his business cards, but it's still pretty damn cool, just the same.
Martin Uden, British Consul General in San Francisco (he is the very model of a modern consul general), lauded Gardner's efforts towards promoting UK studios and artists:
Huzzah, David!
