PSP owners in the UK will soon be able to make voice and video calls using their PSPs, thanks to the soon-to-be released microphone and camera peripherals, as well as software developed by British Telecom. At first, calls will only be possible to PSPs or select BT phones, but eventually will be able to call mobile phones, land lines, and PCs, as well.
The service will only work in the UK on home or BT hotspots at first, but at the moment there are about 2,000 such hotspots located in public places like hotels, train stations, and suchlike. More details about the service will be revealed at the Leipzig Games Convention in August.
