Western copyright authorities continue to crack down on Russian digital music store AllofMP3.com -- as expected, since the U.S. has made it clear that Russia will not be allowed to enter the World Trade Organization unless it does something about the site, which claims to be legal under Russian copyright law. According to InfoWorld,

"U.K. police arrested the 25-year-old man in Bow,
East London, earlier this month, the International Federation of thePhonographic Industry said on Monday. He allegedly sold the vouchersthrough auction sites such as eBay and sent the money to off-shoreaccounts operated by [AllofMP3's] owners, according to the IFPI [International Federation of the Photographic Industry]...

"The IFPI called the arrest 'a significant step inthe demise of the Russian illegal music website' as 'payment options[examples]
run dry and the law closes in. The vouchers operation may have netted'tens of thousands of pounds' for the Web site's owners, the IFPI said. "

The man had apparently been selling the vouchers on allofmp3vouchers.co.uk as well as on eBay.
