
The Folding@home project is, thus far, going extremely well, putting quite a feather in the PS3's cap. Microsoft has expressed an interest in somehow contributing to the cause, though the processing power of the 360 is a bit wimpy for the project's needs. In an interview with GamePro, Sony's Jack Tretton said he was thrilled to have other companies contribute to Folding@home, as long as they're doing it for the right reasons:
He went on to say that he'd be "very disappointed" if Microsoft was just looking to "suck off some of the goodwill that we're doing." This begs the question: is he justified in being peeved, or given Folding@home's noble disease-fighting goal, should he just suck it up and say "the more the merrier," no matter what their motivation?
