It's a day that ends in "Y," and the sun is shining, so clearly it's time for Jack Thompson to threaten someone. This time, it's Bill Gates. Well, heck it was his turn.

GameAlmighty has posted a letter from JT to BG about the impending release of Halo 3, which is what's currently putting the twist in the Florida lawyer's knickers. After the usual accusations of video games being killer creators, and some high falutin' lawyerese like "Right on," Jack gets to the meat of his missive:

Here’s the deal, Mr. Gates: Either Microsoft undertakes dramatic, real steps, through its marketing, wholesale, and retail operations to assure that Halo 3 is not sold, via the Internet and in stores, directly to anyone under 17, or I shall proceed to make sure that Microsoft is held to that standard by appropriate legal means. I have done that before successfully as to Best Buy, and I shall do so again as to Microsoft and all retailers of Halo 3.

I'm sure he's going to get right on that, Jack. Right on it.
