Sales figures for the PS3 have dropped a dramatic 82% during the second week of the console's release in the UK. Guess Sony shouldn't have stopped giving away TVs. Kidding. The PS3 sold 165,000 units in the first two days after the launch, making it the fastest-moving console in the UK.
Since, unlike the US, the UK suffered no huge shortages, the drop in sales just says to me that everyone who wanted (and could afford) a PS3 has already been able to get their hands on one, and now they're sitting at home playing Resistance and Motor Storm. Might want to speed up that release list, Sony, before folks start to get bored.
