Nokia has been getting antsy for a while now about anyone crass enough to call their products 'phones'. Their persistence paid off; the N95 "multimedia computer" has just won an award from TIPA for 'Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe 2007'.
That's a pretty specific category, like holding the world record for juggling milk crates while standing on a blue stool, but Wired's own Nokia freak Joe Brown will agree with the choice. He used the N95's 5MP Zeiss camera to photograph the phone's own unboxing and loved it. TIPA also loved it, especially the real mechanical shutter, the lens and, oddly, the 10x digital zoom.
