It looks like Namco Bandai's Eternal Sonata, which you may know better as Trusty Bell: Chopin's Dream, may be finding a home on the PS3, not just the 360. Remember that ESRB listing update I was telling you about earlier? Well, it has Eternal Sonata slated for a PS3 release in addition to the expected 360 version.
I'm very much looking forward to this one, and not just because it's from Tri-Crescendo, the folks who made Baten Kaitos.
RPGs tend to stick to a fairly tried and true roster of characters and plot elements, so when one comes along that steps outside of those lines, it's worthy of note. **
Eternal Sonata takes place a few hours before the death of legendary composer Frederic Chopin. Deep in the throes of tuberculosis, Chopin enters a dream world where people with terminal illnesses have magical powers. Given that his demise is a certainty, the game should have some truly interesting plot progression, not to mention the music of the maestro. Definitely a cut above the usual elemental magic, amnesia-riddled hero, and Unspeakable
Evil.
