DRM Free Music Coming to Amazon: Nobody Surprised

Billboard has already reported that Universal will be selling DRM free classical music through Amazon, and if they manage to make a deal with EMI then this turns into a domino run where the other companies might quickly tumble.... Consumers will have a lot more choice in where they buy and where they can play their music, the online stores get to sell content onto iPods and the record companies might start making enough money to stop them suing everyone.

Amazon

Amazon has courted all four of the major music labels over the past couple of weeks to bring DRM free music to their store by May.
