"Driving the Wave in wireless in-store technology"

"It's been almost two years since Sylvain Perrier and his team at Springboard Retail Networks first began to develop Concierge, a wireless, interactive console that is integrated into shopping cart handles."

(((Even when you're dead sure stuff like this is bound to happen, it's still freaky to learn that it's been going on for two years in Canada. The future's already here, it just hasn't been blogged yet.)))

((I got this link from Core77's photo-blog tour of the CES show, which is so intense that it makes me wonder if trade shows can survive. I mean: why would I pay to show up at a trade show when some highly knowledgeable soul from Core77 is already there with a camera and is hotlinking everything on a website? I guess I might go to a trade show to buy a business partner a drink, but I don't HAVE business partners... I'd go there to see what's happening, and bloggers know that much better than mere attendees do.)))

(((And the blogger coverage compared to the big fatheaded topheavy official website... jeez, there's no comparison.)))
