Kunihiro Tsuji is a "sound space designer," which means that he creates expensive designer speakers. His beautiful Modal Water Speaker, which transmits sound through a resonance chamber filled with water, will be presented at this year's Milano Design Week in Italy.

Inspired by the human body (it being a carbon sack filled with water), Tsuji describes his artistic process:

"The loudspeaker is placed on top of the water surface as though floating. Its drop-shaped, transparent cone integrates in the aesthetic concept of the MODAL Water Speaker. The audio cable runs invisibly inside of one of the [support] legs and connects the MODAL Water Speaker to any kind of amplifier.".

A full-size shot is after the fold.
