It might not come as a surprise to those of you who read Gadget Lab that we're going to be redesigning Wired News – and all the blogs – in short order. The redesign brings with it a need for a whole new logo. Since we're on a really tight schedule, the Wired magazine designers have put together logos for every one of the blogs based on the magazine's new redesign, but we have some freedom and plan on changing these.
So if anybody out there wants to give it a shot, I say: go for it. I have an affinity for the old mushroom-through-the-looking-glass, so coming up with a new take on that would be a sure way into my heart. I think the logos have to be sized like the Gadget Lab one – height 100 pixels, width 1000.
Other than that, if you're feeling inspired, have at it.
