According to the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), the Nintendo Wii may be just what our lazy, exercise-phobic culture needs. Dr. Josh Trout, Professor of Kinesiology at California State University Chico, points out that any kind of tech-influenced activity, be it a Stairmaster or treadmill, will have health benefits, but the trick is getting people to actually use the darn things. Since "exertainment," as he calls it, is by definition fun, it makes it far easier for folks to get hooked on it and reap the long-term benefits.
